DS®ACRYLGLAS-PLEXIGLAS® POOL, what do we use for a acrylic?
We only use DS® acrylic glass which we produce ourselves in our company DS Acrylic. We use the highest quality raw materials
for the production of acrylic glass. Especially for pool discs we only use cast (GS) Acrylic glass with specially developed additives,
which makes the acrylic glass more resistant to high solar radiation. It prevents the pool panes from turning yellow after 1-2 years.
We manufacture the panels as a composite material (like laminated glass) or, with a 25% surcharge, as a full block in all sizes and thicknesses.
Which acrylic glass thickness do I need for my DS®ACRYLGLASS-PLEXIGLAS® swimming pool?
Another important point is the material thickness, the panes must not bend or deform, but should withstand the water pressure. Our plastic structural engineers use special software to calculate the material thickness of the acrylic glass panes. The overall size of the pool and the size of the acrylic glass pool panes play a decisive role. It is also calculated how large the contact surface in the concrete, stainless steel or plastic must be and of course the exact installation dimensions of the special joint. With the help of the installation dimensions of the sealing joint, we can precisely determine the amount of sealing compound required.

What should be considered when installing the DS®ACRYLGLAS-PLEXIGLAS® POOL panes!
Installation in the swimming pool is just as important as the quality of the acrylic glass pane, because if you think about it, the acrylic glass can expand by up to 10% at high summer temperatures, then it is understandable that the panes have to be installed flexibly. If the pane is firmly installed, it cannot expand and, as a result, the acrylic pane tears. or hair cracks form and the acrylic glass pane becomes milk glass. Installation with normal silicone can never work either. Since the silicone never hardens completely during installation, the result is that the pool will leak after a short time, so the silicone seal is not a sealing method.
Due to the many calls for help from angry pool owners who have had panes installed by their trusted pool builder and are now having problems, we decided to develop a professional installation system that seals, hardens and gives the pane the flexibility it needs in order not to break walk.
